Fuji is one of our favorites.

Located in the mini mall in downtown historic Haddonfield it is one of the finest Japanese restaurants in the universe. This gem with its Zen inspired décor has the pre-requisite sushi bar and also a large menu of traditional Japanese dishes.

The sushi bar feature all of the usual favorites – tuna, salmon, octopus and some unique new favorites like sea urchin roe, sea bream and smoked pepper salmon. Individual pieces and rolls start at $2; our favorite Shrimp Tempura & Avocado roll runs $8.50. Sushi and sashimi platters range from $18 – $28. If Chef Mats is offering a tasting menu, go for it – you will have no regrets! You’ll enjoy great food and company at the sushi bar.

Yosenabe, a Japanese hot pot dish, is a favorite for my husband, Fred. I love to sample everything by ordering from the Small Plates Menu – octopus ball, eggplant with Miso, Steamed Manilla Clams – to mention a few.
